For someone who is new to internet marketing, you might not quite understand what this means. Search Engine Optimisation can involve two distinct areas. Off page optimisation and on page optimisation.
Search engine optimisation simply means having your website optimised for the search engines to index it quicker.
In order to do this you have to be very mindful of the domain name you choose for your website. You should spend enough time to research your keywords and use one which has lots of searches and little competition. There are many free tools you can use for your keyword research. You can google some to get a few free ones. What you should look out for is keywords that have lots of searches per month globally with very little competition. When you use on page optimisation tips, you simply use the same keywords that you have in your domain name sparingly in your content for your website. Use it twice or three times in the content and make sure the content is unique to your website. Meaning don’t just copy from one website and transfer to yours.

So now you want to also optimise your website with off page keywords. This is when your submit your website or blog with the search engines using keywords related to the theme of your website. This helps to give the search engines more information about the content of your website and hence help you rank better for your chosen keywords. This is what optimisation all means.
